Iranian Ambassador meets with Cambodian Minister of Cults and Religion

H. E. Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam and Accredited to Cambodia, met with H. E. Mr. Chhit Sokhon, Minister of Cults and Religion of Cambodia, in Phnom Penh on Tuesday, 22nd February 2022. In this meeting, while welcoming the inter-religious dialogue, he pointed to the positive and peaceful atmosphere of the society and respectful coexistence of different ethnic groups and religions in Cambodia and considered it as a necessity that human beings need to eradicate extremism and violence. In return, H. E. Mr. Chhit Sokhon said that Islam is the second official religion in the country after Buddhism and as you mentioned, all ethnicities, religions and cults live together in peace.
